OUR STORY

Care rooted in compassion and expertise

Hara Physiotherapy was founded on one belief: that exceptional clinical care should be accessible, personal, and delivered where you feel most at ease — at home.

"Hara" means centre — your pelvic floor is part of your core.

"I built Hara to give people the specialist care they deserve, in a setting that feels safe."

— Kelly, Hara Physiotherapy

WHAT WE STARTED

A practice built around you

Hara Physiotherapy was born from a recognition that pelvic health physiotherapy was consistently under-served — particularly for those navigating pregnancy, postnatal life, menopause, or pelvic health challenges.

I set out to create something different: a practice where specialist clinical expertise meets genuine warmth and understanding. Where the environment is always calm, private, and entirely focused on you.

My virtual model removes one of the biggest barriers to seeking care, which is the difficulty of travelling when you're, recovering or caring for a newborn.

Your appointment completed virtually in the comfort of your own home.

Hi, I'm Kelly

I'm a pelvic health physiotherapist with nearly 10 years of experience, now specialising exclusively in pelvic health. Alongside running Hara, I work as a senior pelvic health physiotherapist in the NHS, drawing on a broad clinical background that shapes how I work with every person I see. I take a holistic approach to care, because pelvic health is never just physical. The emotional and psychological side of recovery matters just as much.

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Brunel University and have completed an MSc module in Advanced Clinical Practice in Pelvic Health, also from Brunel University.

Outside the clinic, I train in martial arts and currently continue my training in aikido. This has given me a deep, embodied understanding of body mechanics, strength and movement.

Also becoming a mum for the first time has added another layer to my perspective, giving me first-hand insight into pregnancy, birth, and the realities of returning to sport and exercise postnatally.

I firmly believe the pelvic floor is integral to overall wellbeing, and I built Hara as a virtual practice to help improve access to high-quality care. My mission is to help people regain confidence, restore function, and get back to living full, active lives.
